Priority Start-Up Gel contains beneficial yeast and digestive bacteria in a convenient stable paste formulation. Priority Start-Up Gel is an all natural product free of chemicals or hormones.
How does it work?
Priority Start-Up Gel works by inoculating the rumen of a cow or the stomach of a new born calf with beneficial digestive micro-organisms for the purpose of establishing the correct micro-flora for efficient feed digestion and utilisation. By promoting the correct balance of gastrointestinal micro-flora, Priority Start-Up Gel increases animal health and productivity.
Priority Start-Up Gel and young calves:

- The Gel can be used as a stand alone calf scour treatment or used in conjunction with other treatments such as electrolytes.
- The Gel is ideally used in conjunction with the Priority Calf powder program which is mixed into the milk for improvements in appetite and growth and prevention of scours.
How quickly can I expect to see results from the Gel? In
general if a calf has scours, within 6-12 hours of administering the Gel
you can expect to see a significant reduction of the scour and
dramatic visual improvement in the overall wellbeing of the animal. In
some cases you can follow up after 12-24 hours with a second dose of
the Gel. If you don't see dramatic improvements after 24-36
hours a veterinarian may need to be consulted, moreover the administration
of antibiotics.
